Depending on the time of year, Zambia mainly has three distinctive seasons - from May to August the climate is cool and dry, from September to November, hot and dry and from December to April the climate is warm and wet.

For adrenalin junkies at Victoria Falls, the Zambezi River offers canoeing or White Water Rafting. There are great opportunities for abseiling, bungee jumping, rock climbing or hiking. Also very popular, and requiring no effort at all, are the boat cruises on the river.
